Luckily Youssef is working in tourism and very well connected in Dubai. We were able to get into the Burj al Arab and had our own private tour (normally it is only possible with a tour or a booking for afternoon tea – none of which is even close to what we were able to see). We even had the opportunity to visit one of the “small” suites (there are only suits, no rooms – small means 170m2 / 1500EUR per night).
This definitely was one of the highlights for me for this trip!
Afterwards we had some nice Egyption dinner at a place Youseff recommended.
